Please pray

I found this blog through a friend of Sarah's. Boothe and Connor are from Nashville and went to Auburn. It will amaze you to see their faith in God and also increase yours as you read it. Please pray for their family and baby Copeland.

Davidson Carnival

This weekend when Joseph, Sarah and Ford were here we went to a carnival in Davidson. Parker loved the moon bounce, went "fishing," and went down the blow-up slide. I really wanted him to get his face painted but the line was really long and it was too hot to stand around waiting in line. We left the carnival to go to Ben and Jerry's to get ice cream. I love B and J ice cream but I have to admit its very expensive for ice cream. Although its hard to beat Chocolate Therapy!! I can't tell you how many times I had it while pregnant with Parker AND Maryn. Mmmm...

Parker loved the moon bounce. Notice Joseph watching in the back ground. Isn't he the coolest??!! (detect the note of sarcasm...)

Ford and Maryn otherwise known as Ben and Jerry. Sarah and I were laughing hysterically while Joseph was taking this picture.

Mark makes a pretty good Ben/Jerry... not sure who is who.

Parker fishing for his snake.

The babies watching Parker have all the fun while they sat in the hot sun.

The truck post will have to wait until tomorrow. Maryn has already been napping for 45 minutes and Parker just fell out of/jumped off the side of his bed. All I heard was a thud and some crying before I could run into his room. He seems to have calmed down now after much rocking and singing from Mommy. You can only imagine how good Jesus Loves Me sounds when you have a cold... Now I need a shower desperately. Maybe I should do a poll on which mom has gone the longest without a shower...

Parker's First Homework Assignment

So Parker is turning in his first homework assignment two weeks late. One week he got an excused absence because we were out of town but the second week is Mommy's fault. He had to decorate a leaf for the class' family tree and include a picture of our family. Here's a picture of Parker hard at work.

Couldn't resist adding a cute picture of Maryn. If you know anything about my dad who used to pick us up at the airport in Charlotte wearing his cowboy boots, duster and hat, you know who gave her this t-shirt! And her first pair of cowgirl boots!! They're still a little big but so adorable.

My 30th Birthday!!

My 30th birthday was very well celebrated. It started with a delicious dinner in Seattle at a resturant called El Gaucho with Joseph and Sarah while Papa and Dede watched all three kids. Then the night before we left my dad grilled a delicious steak which we had with baked potatoes and spinach. Yum!! Then my wonderful friends, Emily and Andrea, threw me a Martha Stewart worthy surprise party complete with china, beautiful cookies as place cards, a delicious meal, and amazing birthday cake!

My place complete with monogrammed frame to display the invitation and personalized stationary that Andrea made.

Nicole took great pictures! She took the one below so I included one of me with her.

God has given me great friends here in North Carolina!

This weekend Joseph, Sarah and Ford drove from Auburn to help celebrate. I really appreciate them coming. It's a long drive after Joseph worked all day Friday. We went to a carnival in Davidson on Saturday. It was a lot of fun but way too hot. Pictures from that later. Then that night we went to a delicious dinner at Bravo with Emily and Shaun and Joseph and Sarah. Mark and Parker even made me one of my favorite cakes! I am feeling better about 30 already!

First Attempt

So my sister-in-law, Sarah, started her own blog about two weeks ago and then the pressure was on. So here it is. This will be, hopefully, much easier than updating our picture web page which will make many family members very happy. So I will continue to post on the blog as long as said family promises not to pressure me for more!!

Right now we are in Seattle visiting my dad and Debbie. Parker, Maryn, Sarah, Ford and I flew out with them on Sunday. It went really well but was one of the longest days ever! Daddy had to rent a stretch Excursion to bring us all to their house. It was quite a site trying to load three carseats, luggage and babies into the car.

It has taken about two days and much fussiness from Parker to get everyone on a good sleep schedule. The last two mornings were very early, about 4 am! Today we reached a normal hour of 7. Parker's morning routine involves getting the paper with Papa, waking Dede up, and watering flowers.

Babies, Ford and Maryn, having a snack.

Maryn watches big brother out the window as he waters the flowers.

Photo shoot on the grassy knoll.

Hope you enjoy!
